Mariam Arif

Middle Years Programme Coordinator and Head of IGCSE

It is with immense pleasure that I welcome you to Beaconhouse Newlands Islamabad. I sincerely believe that every child has a talent, waiting to be discovered. Fortunately, BNI’s size and structure allows each child to be treated as a special individual.

We are blessed with a competent and professional team of teachers who not only excel at their work but, their ownership towards the school and students is matchless.

The middle and senior years are a crucial time in a child’s life in terms of growth and development. We want to make these years as progressive and memorable as possible.

Our website will provide an insight into what BNI has to offer. However, for a real feel of our culture and environment, a visit to the school is a must. We offer the Middle Years Programme as well as the IGCSE. Both programmes are full of academic rigor, incorporate experiential learning and teach application of knowledge in the real world.

I look forward to welcoming you to the BNI family!

God bless.

About the Programme

Beaconhouse Newlands Islamabad is a candidate school for the Middle Years Programme. This school is pursuing authorization as IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy – a commitment to high quality, challenging international education that Beaconhouse Newlands Islamabad believes is important for our students.

Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted. For further information about the IB and its programmes, visit http.//

International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP)

BNI is a candidate school for the IB MYP for grades 6 & 7. The MYP has been designed as a coherent and comprehensive curriculum framework that provides academic challenge and develops the life skills of students from the ages of 11 to 16. These years are a critical period in the development of young people. The programme offers students opportunities to develop their potential, to explore their own learning preferences, to take appropriate risks, and to reflect on, and develop, a strong sense of personal identity. The range of subjects offered at BNI, helps students to build a strong foundation and experiment the areas of interest.
