How to Utilize Evidence in Your Research Paper
A research paper is an essay that examines or analyzes a particular aspect of a subject. No matter what field of study you are in your research paper must reflect your thoughts and be backed by other views and observations. A legal professional studies the opinions of other people to draw comparisons and then applies them to their case to support their argument. Doctors interpret medical data and interpret them for patients who cannot communicate with their doctors.
One area in which this happens frequently is in the area of education. Bahador Bahrami is an associate professor at the University of Toronto. I had the pleasure of reading his essay. He uses a similar technique to mine that is the presupposition reverser to illustrate how our previous assumptions about a topic have led to a reality that was completely different. The essay starts with the words “Our beliefs about language are deeply embedded.”
The premise he uses is strong as is his argument. The premise is, as I mentioned above, an assumption, and it’s a valid one. He then demonstrates the way in which his assumption about language can cause problems in his writing. The issue lies in his use of language. However, his entire argument is built on his usage of language. He correctly explains his reason for using the word “theorizing” in the final paragraph of his argument.
This is a good way to demonstrate the importance of your writing and your ability to analyse and criticize knowledge that already exists. Without the ability to apply the knowledge you have learned in your research papers Your writing won’t be particularly distinctive. I’m certain you do.
His argument boils down to this: He presumes (and the assumption is correct this assumption) that your basic idea is working and then constructs his argument from the assumption. When you read his arguments, you aren’t able to see the core idea at work until he states it. He uses various presuppositions to back up his main point and thus extends the meaning of “proposition” and “intuition” beyond recognition. He commits the fallacy or induction. To challenge his argument, I’d like to ask, what is your main idea? It doesn’t matter what others think if it’s wrong. They’ve order essay cheap already figured out that your main idea doesn’t make sense therefore it’s not necessary to debate with them. If it’s true no matter what others consider. To prove it, just look at your argument.
Now, I know there are those who will disagree and argue that there can be an important and secondary argument. This is not a major issue to me however, it could be addressed when you talk about the arguments. I’m not going to discuss it now. Let me leave it as an exercise for your brain.
This topic can be difficult and many students abandon it. It doesn’t have be. It is important to remember that the goal is to prove your point with logic and evidence. Without a solid argument, this is not possible.
What makes a good argument? There are two kinds of proof. A deductive proof is based on facts. It might seem easy however, if you think about it, you’ll discover that there are lots of deductive arguments. If I claim that this car is unsafe, you are already supporting my main argument.
It’s easy to slip down the’slippery slope of proof’ where logic is used to justify your argument. For example you could say that since I’ve told you that the car was old, it is true. You would be right however, the point is that you’ve created an argument and that’s it. You can also use inductive arguments. For example, you might say that since I’ve said that you should buy a car because it’s cheaper than other brands of cars and that it is true. This argument is that if you have direct experiences with cars that are cheaper and you consider that brand more (since it worked well for you).
The most important thing to make your research paper successful and effective is to utilize proper proof. Make sure you read the entire argument from beginning to end. Also, make sure that you provide proof of your argument in the final section of your paper before letting your reader take away anything else from your paragraph. This way, you can make sure that they understand the main message and that your argument is solid and reliable.
