Primary Years Programme

At BNI our IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is for children aged 3 – 12 years. It nurtures and develops young students as caring individuals who display the IB Learner Profile.

We challenge students to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills through our inquiry –led Programme of Inquiry. Students explore global and local issues and apply the concepts, knowledge and skills learnt in real-life contexts.

We consider the school, our students and parents to be partners in the learning journey. The whole school community actively participates in encouraging our students to be self-motivated lifelong learners.

*The PYP is guided by six transdisciplinary themes of global significance; students deepen their learning by developing their conceptual understandings; strengthening their knowledge and skills across and beyond subject areas.
It’s a curriculum framework of essential elements — the knowledge, concepts, skills, attitudes, and action that young students need to equip for successful lives, both now and in the future. We work with the five elements to construct a rigorous and challenging primary curriculum for international education.
